What to Expect at Your Appointment
During your appointment, an advocate will provide information about all the options available to you. At Jewel Women’s Center, we care about you and want you to be informed as well as comfortable throughout your time with us.
What To Bring
We ask that you bring a photo ID with you to your appointment. No form of payment or insurance is necessary because our services are offered at no cost.
What Will Happen At The Appointment
First, you will meet with an advocate who will provide you with information and walk you through your appointment. You'll also meet with our registered nurse who will conduct a pregnancy test, answer your medical questions, review your test results with you and develop a personalized solutions plan.
If your test is positive, you may also be screened by our ultrasound
technologist. She will be able to provide you with specific information such as length of gestation and viability of the pregnancy.
During your appointment, you'll be offered an STI test. If abortion is an option you're considering, it's very important to be sure that you are negative for STIs.
Jewel Women's Center is located at 103 East Main Street in Schuylkill Haven, PA. You are welcome to bring your partner, family member, or friend, but they will be asked to wait in our cafe during portions of your appointment. We look forward to serving you!
